Attorney Profile
Ms. Kay has practiced law in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties (including courts in Simi Valley, Ventura, San Fernando, Van Nuys, Burbank and downtown, Los Angeles) since 1987, and has been a Certified Specialist in Family Law since 1993. She was born and raised in New York City, and has a Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society. She received a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1986, where she was an Associate Editor of the Law Review, a member of the Phi Delta Phi honor society, and on the Dean's List, American Jurisprudence Awards in Evidence and Criminal Procedure. Ms. Kay has been a Judge Pro Tem for the Ventura County Superior and Municipal Courts and been appointed an Arbitrator. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Ventura County Bar Association, East County Bar Association and Ventura County Family Law Bar. Personally, she is the mother of three children, and has been active in various community activities. She is an amateur genealogist who has published in special interest journals.
